ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a conflict between Robert Bartley, editor of the newspaper "The Wall Street Journal," and Peter Brimelow, the editor of this journal. An article was published in a previous issue of this journal in which Brimelow quoted Bartley's statement that the nation-state is finished. In the latest issue of this journal Bartley has stated his unhappiness about the misinterpretation of his statement. The journal has, however, dissociated itself from the accusation. Bartley and Brimelow also have difference in their opinions on the altering viability or character of the nation-state as well as the immigration policy.
