ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the perseverance of print media to exist despite the development of newer media technologies such as the tablet computer iPad. "National Journal" media critic William Powers wrote an essay titled "Hamlet's Blackberry: Why Paper is Eternal," which argues that print media technology is the medium of choice for books, magazines, broadsheets and other long-format narrative journals. According to the author, online media will rule in providing people breaking news and other gleaning and current information, but the print media will remain the choice for many people to read long-form narratives that can nurture their moments of personal reflection.
