ABSTRACT
The article presents the defence profile of Indonesia. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is the country's Head of State and Government, while Purnomo Yusgiantoro is the Minister of Defence. The Ministry of Defence consists of 432,129 military and civil personnel along with 190,000 National Police officers. The ministry's allocated budget is worth 40.7 trillion rupiahs (4.4 billion U.S. dollars).
