ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the efforts of the U.S. Senate Democrat to extend the Build America Bonds program and other temporary bond provisions enacted as part of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009. It notes that the said extender efforts took a major step backwards as Democrats tabled the tax package. Moreover, market participants suggest that if the tax package is not resurrected, the extensions should find a home in different legislation.
