ABSTRACT
The article examines whether or not fashion can be considered art based on the perspective of Diana Vreeland, special consultant to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Vreeland declares that fashion is not art. She asserts that fashion has more to do craftsmanship and the attempt to look dashing, while art is a luxury and a continual inspiration.
