ABSTRACT
The article presents the responsibilities of the Government Accountability Office (GAO) in the U.S. The responsibilities include understanding the effect of the global suppliers on national security interests, assessing the efforts that will ensure safe food supply, and assessing the programs on export promotions and efforts on creating trade-related jobs. It also mentions GAO also identifies opportunities to improve coordination between networks of government and non-government organizations.
