ABSTRACT
The article reports on a study that discusses the effective use of anti-tumor necrosis (anti-TNFα) therapies in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who are associated with increased short- or medium-term risk for cancer. It presents a large cohort study of 67, 743 patients with RA in Sweden who started using methotrexate or antirheumatic drugs. Thus, it concludes that anti-TNF α therapy is not associated with increased short- or medium-term risk for cancer in patients with RA.
