ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the clinical trial conducted on the use of the drug aspirin in adult patients with low ankle brachial index to reduce cardiovascular disease (CV) events or mortality. The trial studied 3350 patients of 50-75 years of age suffering from low ankle brachial index, who were treated with the dosage of aspirin. The results showed several strokes, vascular events and increased risk for major hemorrhage among the patients due to which the trial was stopped.
