ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the proposed national college of social work in Great Britain. The author says that the proposal shares some characteristics of the Royal College of Nursing as it will enhance the standing and authority of profession it serves. He emphasizes how the college of social work can attract appreciable number of members. He questions how achievable the efforts of the government in bringing clarity and cohesion to social work.
