The article focuses on maple syrup and its use as a component of classic cocktails such as Maple Leaf, Maple Sour and Hot Toddy. According to Meaghan Dorman, head bartender at the Raines Law Room in New York's Flatiron District, maple syrup is great for comforting drinks and goes really well with rhum agricole. Dorman adds that maple syrup also mixes well with both lemon and lime juices.
