ABSTRACT
The article discusses reasons behind Cavium Networks' acquisition of MontaVista Software. The author tells that Linux is the prime thing in the takeover deal. He tells that as Intel bought Wind River, so Cavium Networks' has acquired MontaVista Software. Syed Ali, president and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cavium Networks, said that software is becoming an increasingly important part of the total solution with the rapidly increasing adoption of multicore processors
