ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the pace of mergers & acqusitions (M&A) deals in the industrial sector of the U.S. It relates the growth of earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) for the sector in the beginning of 2010. An example of the M&A deal in the sector earlier in 2010 is the acquisition of Arsenal Capital Partners' Genovique Specialties Corp. by Eastman Chemical Co. Some of the private equity (PE) firms preparing for acquisition include Fitzsimmons and Altus Capital Partners.
