ABSTRACT
The article discusses the importance of social networking sites to law enforcement professionals. It states that law enforcement officials have recognized that the Internet is a good shopping outlet for child pornography. Police officers are using social networking sites to investigate about criminal gangs while gang members are also using social networking sites to ask for help in identifying undercover police officers. Ways social networking sites can be used to prevent crime are also discussed.
