ABSTRACT
The article provides information on electronic lens ordering. The optical industry moved for standardization by developing uniform bar codes for all lens product and the lens ordering format. Web site ordering enables laboratories to order lenses efficiently and electronically. Opticom facilitates the movement of lens shipment data to laboratories and the maintenance of a complete lens database.
