ABSTRACT
In today's competitive world, one of the important factors that impact on business success is information technologies. These technologies provide many benefits such as shorter operation time, improved quality and faster response to customers' needs. The objective of this study was to find out performance effects of information technologies, the fields they are in use, and the interest of firms towards these technologies in the city of Sivas. For this purpose data were collected from 48 manufacturing companies and analyzed. The results show that manufacturing companies are interested in information technologies but are not benefited from information technologies adequately.
