Hearst Finds Itself at an iCrossing

This article focuses on the acquisition of Web marketing services firm iCrossing by Hearst Corp. The transaction is valued at 325 million U.S. dollars. According to Wilma Jordan of Jordan Edmiston Group (JEGI), the deal is an example of traditional media expanding into the Web marketing space and could come to classify mergers and acquisitions (M&A) from larger traditional media firms. JEGI served as financial advisor to Hearst in this deal.
