ABSTRACT
The article offers insights on the effects of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in its 20 years of existence. It says that the signing of the act in July 1990 by then U.S. President George H.W. Bush was cheered and looked on by many people. It states that at that time, Americans had no idea of the effect the event will bring to their lives. It adds that ADA has received backlash that was triggered by the filing of drive-by lawsuits by people with disabilities against business owners. INSET: Ensuring Access.
