ABSTRACT
The article offers information about the development of state associations and how they operate as an organization in the U.S. It cites that associations comprising the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) have developed to Affiliates with same common threads to support the AAFCS mission. It also notes elements of success that the AAFCS of 1925 emphasized and used same with the existing AAFCS which include effective communication, networking opportunities and advocacy.
