ABSTRACT
The article highlights the four shifts that leaders need to make in order to be effective. Leaders are advised to define the inside and outside of the organization through core values and purposes. Building a connection and commitment through freedom of choice and learning that true leadership is inversely proportional to the exercise of power are also emphasized. They are also advised to accept the fact that the exercise of true leadership is inversely proportional to the exercise of power.
