ABSTRACT
The article offers tips on whole house energy retrofitting. The use of spray-in insulating foam products such as InsulSpan is recommended to reduce air infiltration which is considered a key component of whole-house retrofit. The application of exterior caulking around plumbing, vent pipes and other possible air entry points is mentioned to avoid possible air infiltration problems. It is also added that replacing old electric home appliances like refrigerators and washing machines can reduce energy costs at home.
