ABSTRACT

The article reports on the impact of immigration restrictions on the recruitment of new care providers in Great Britain. It notes that the Conservative pronunciamento supports immigrants restriction while the Liberal Democrats prefer a system allowing the entrance of non-European migrants only if their skills are needed. According to Mandy Thorn, National Care Association vice-chairman, the strategy would prevent from recruiting qualified senior care workers outside Europe.
