ABSTRACT
The article presents a letter from David Gootnick, director of International Affairs and Trade at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) regarding needs to measure progress on the implementation of the U.S. security assistance programs in the Middle East. In this report, GAO has found that the U.S. security assistance program has a total allocation of 392 million dollars. However, it was noted that the country has faced logistical constraints in the implementation of the program.
