ABSTRACT
The article discusses the new Internet Protocol-based (IP-based) intercoms and paging systems. It says that the new system provides instant communications that allow instant emergency notification and more cost effective and flexible than analog systems. It adds that several facilities which include schools, like the Immanuel Lutheran High School and Colleges, companies such as Brookfield Properties Corp, and train stations such as the Delaware PATCO Speedline, already adopted the technology.
