ABSTRACT
The article focuses on several measures to improve security and safety of sporting events. It states that the game day operational plan is conducted to assess the stadium's perimeter from terrorism wherein additional emergency security personnel become more visible in the area, emergency plan for evacuation is available, and increase in emergency drills. It also mentions vehicle access control devices in sports venues including shallow foundation bollards, gates, and surface mount barricades.
