The article reports on the "Performance Benchmarking for Final-Stage Producers & Upfitters" report that was released by Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC) research director Daniel Luria in 2010, exploring an initiative that has been implemented by the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) and the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). He has been encouraging truck and trailer companies to participate in benchmarking. He also explains the importance of benchmarking to the success of companies.
