ABSTRACT
The article discusses the launch of a pilot program that uses brain fitness technology referred to as useful field of view (UFOV) from Posit Science Corp. to improve the driving ability of mature drivers by Allstate Insurance Co. in the U.S. The technology targets baby boomers whose rate of at-fault automobile accidents increase but they expect to live longer and more active. Participants who underwent UFOV training were found to have reduced dangerous maneuvers and improved reaction times.
