ABSTRACT
The article discusses the lack of concern by First Data Corporation executives about the debit card interchange-fee amendment adopted by the U.S. Senate. According to the article, Ed Labry, the president of retail and alliance services for First Data, doesn't expect the legislation to have much impact because his company doesn't earn revenue from interchange fees. The amendment is part of the U.S. Financial Stability Act of 2010 that is being debated in the U.S. Senate.
