ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the achievements and failures of higher educational reforms in Europe set by the Bologna Process. It states that the reforms have led to the setting up of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) whose aims are transparency and recognition of degrees by other institutions, comparability and compatability of courses and increased mobility for students. Achievements include the introduction of European credit transfer system and the formation of accreditation agencies. INSET: Tuning physics in the US.
