Short Note: Some Ancient Sources in John Adams’ Writings

The article presents a short note of John Adams' writings to several people in the U.S., one of which is Caroline De Windt. In one of his letters, Adams presents a quote which cites the perception of Ancients about a great book, from the Hellenistic poet Callimachus. Meanwhile, a letter from Adams to De Windt focuses on human insignificance and ignorance, from Micah 6:8.
