ABSTRACT
The article discusses a court case wherein the American Needle Inc. litigated the National Football League (NFL) due to the alleged exclusive agreement of the NFL and Reebok International Ltd. to manufacturer caps with team logos. It alleges that NFL violated of the section 1 of the Sherman Act, which prohibits contracts, combinations, and conspiracies in restraint of trade. It investigates the circuit court law on the single-identity defense of NFL prior to American Needle.
