ABSTRACT
The article reports on the building of a deepwater port and industrial precinct in Anketell, Western Australia. The precinct will include a port with more than 350 million tonnes annual export capacity, an industrial area of more than 1,400 hectares (ha) and a corridor for transport and services. Negotiations will be led by the Department of State Development, the new port will be managed by the Dampier Port Authority and LandCorp will develop the industrial precinct.
