ABSTRACT
The article offers methods and techniques that can be used by financial planning firms in measuring the efficacy of their social media profile. It suggests the use of Ping.fm, a free service that allows financial planning firms to post status update messages to over 40 social media sites. It states that financial planning firms can monitor interest in the updated post status using the uniform resource locators (URL) shortening services. Moreover, it also mentions that financial planning firms need to monitor web site activity through Web analytics services such as Google Analytics and Woopra.
