ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to try to analyze the effects of family structure and education on the destiny of people living in especially South Eastern Anatolian Region. Undoubtedly, demographic and economic characteristics of this region are the main elements in determining the people's ways of lives of the region. But, the educational institution is also the main factor that is providing horizontal and vertical mobility in this region. Findings of this field research held in Diyarbakir and Şanlıurfa are also supporting these assumptions.
