ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the all-island animal health and welfare strategy agreed at the agriculture meeting on March 31, 2010 in Ireland. The meeting involved the North/South Ministerial Council (NSMC); Michelle Gildernew, agriculture and rural development minister for Northern Ireland; and, Brendan Smith, agriculture, fisheries and food minister for the Republic of Ireland. The strategy centered on putting on the highest level the animal health and welfare status of livestock.
