ABSTRACT
The article discusses the efforts of the financial planning profession in establishing and fostering relationships with financial planning students who will be representing the next generation of financial planners in the U.S. Institutions use unique resources to build interdisciplinary financial planning programs. Examples of such major programs include Consumer Science, Banking and Financial Services, Insurance, Trust Management, Human Development and Family Studies. These registered programs need to meet the criteria specified by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. Surveys were also sent in an attempt to learn more about the undergraduate students in financial planning.
