ABSTRACT
The article reports that the regulatory reform debate stopped because U.S Republican and Democratic legislators argued over how much power to give to a new consumer protection bureau and how much time should be allotted to debate the reform legislation. Democratic Senators Harry Reid and Chris Dodd's views on the Republicans' behavior is also discussed.
