ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the need for high-pressure/high-temperature (HP/HT) hardware for finding deep and subsalt reservoirs around the world. It states that a new higher pressure, higher temperature and higher casing capacity subsea wellhead system is required for drilling into deeper, higher pressure formations. It discusses various challenges in designing a wellhead system for accessing deep HP/HT reservoirs, based on the environment and wellbore requirements.
