ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the coaching scheme launched by Southwark Council in London, England. Under the scheme, council managers were recruited to mentor care leavers and assist them in finding accommodation, a job or a place in further training. Comments of Robert Lang, organisational development business partner at Southwark and the scheme's architect, are given in detail. Experiences of care leaver Alhassan Kamara of Southwark are discussed.
