ABSTRACT
In this article, the author ponders on the controversy surrounding the inclusion of creationism in teaching science. He explains that for religious fundamentalists, the text of the Book of Genesis should be discussed in teaching creation science, while others believe that the evolutionary theory suffices teachings of science. He mentions the results of an opinion poll survey that was conducted by the Pew Forum on Religion in Public Life, revealing that there were only two-thirds of the respondents who believed that creationism and evolution should both be taught with equality.
