ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of Senate Agricultural Committee Chairman Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas to support a resolution that opposes the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) plan to regulate carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in the U.S. Lincoln says controlling greenhouse gases could reduce the country's dependence on foreign oil and advancing clean energy technologies. She suggests that the government should find a balanced solution that is good for the environment.
