ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the significance of both strip tillage and irrigation timing techniques in improving water use efficiency in cotton farms in Texas. It states that such a method will enable farmers to manipulate the physiology of the plant to make it more drought tolerant and increase yield. Researcher Diane Rowland of Texas AgriLife says that the importance of conservation tillage increase in soil moisture, increase root growth and changes the plant's water use pattern.
