ABSTRACT
The article presents a report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) on the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Long-Term Community Recovery Branch (LTCR). GAO examined the roles played by LTCR in disasters and found that the assistance was helpful but had some limitations. GAO recommends that FEMA should evaluate the level of authority necessary in coordinating federal agencies involved in disaster recovery.
