ABSTRACT
Beyond the obvious contributions to the discussion of historiography, I believe that other dimensions can be included in the study of Argentinean immigration, since one objection is that these contributions often consider the possibility of ties while neglecting direct social relationships. Therefore, I analyze the immigration process from the point of view of institutions, family, and legal cultures, which implies the consideration of the immigration experience as the activation of a series of interpersonal ties that necessarily includes relationships created in the host country.
