ABSTRACT
The author discusses how to gossip safely in the workplace without damaging one's and other people's reputations. She says that spreading information that is not malicious will form a sense of solidarity with one's colleagues. A hint of discretion in the way the information is being said is recommended for such strategy will not put one's job at risk. Countering negative office rumors with indirect comments and questions is considered as the best way to defend oneself and friends against such gossips.
