ABSTRACT
The article considers pre-packaged salads as a way to provide consumers convenience and good nutrition. Bruce Thomas, the associate vice president of Guest Service at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania said that grab and go food, which includes salad, has accounted for 15% of sales. Popular flavors are Chicken Caesar, Asian Chicken and regular chef's salad. Also noted are the convenience, wellness and healthier choices offered by salads.
