RNV adopts energy saving

The article reports that the first Bombardier Variobahn low-floor trams from Rhein Neckar Verkehr (RNV), which have been equipped with supercapacitor energy storage, are being tested in Germany's Rhein-Neckar region. The priority of RNV for supercapacitor operation is the Heidelberg local network. It explains that due to the smaller dimensions of the traction inverters, there was enough space on the rook of the vehicles to accommodate energy storage equipment, which is being fitted to all cars in the third batch.
