ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the paper "Family caregivers, patients, and physicians: Ethical guidance to optimize relationships," published by the American College of Physicians (ACP). It says that the paper aims to guide physicians when dealing with patients and caregivers to preserve the primacy of the patient-physician relationship.The paper describes four primary principles for physicians which include respect of the dignity, rights and values of patients and effective communication.
