ABSTRACT
The article presents a study which examines the applicability of time-lapse refraction seismic tomography (RSTM) as valuable method for detecting ground ice degradation in the Swiss Alps, Switzerland. It mentions that ground ice degradation is observed through electrical resistively tomography monitoring which is analyzed by RSTM. The result shows that RSTM approach is valuable in detecting altered subsurfaces conditions caused by thawing processes and freezing.
