ABSTRACT
The article discusses the benefits gained by paperboard company Iggesund Paperboard Ltd. on its utilization of advanced process modelling at its plant in Workington, England. It mentions that it had helped the optimization of energy efficiency in its newly-completed project. It states that it provides the board machine operators with real-time process information and its predictive control incorporates an offline tool that enables simulation of refiner loads for different pulp types.
