ABSTRACT
The article describes the experience of wildlife artist and brook trout fishing enthusiast Tom Yacovella in catching the brook trout that set a new record for the species in New York State. Since childhood, Yacovella has been fascinated with fishing in the Adirondacks. He caught his record-setting brook trout on Raquette Lake using a three-way rig with a small floating Rapala tied to a four-foot leader. The brook trout weighed 5 pounds and 4 and half ounces.
